You’ve heard this from us before: Greater Sage-Grouse is on a fast track to extinction. Without decisive action, it will continue to lose ground—and the American West will lose one of its most amazing and iconic birds.
In spite of the urgent need for conservation, the U.S. Congress recently passed a bill that prevents the possibility of protecting the grouse under the Endangered Species Act, due to a rider added to must-pass legislation. Meanwhile, management plans are underway that have yet to address findings of government scientists.
Please send a letter to your elected officials today, urging they stand up for the Endangered Species Act and science-based management plans, and oppose further delays in the conservation of Greater Sage-Grouse.
