AUDUBON CALIFORNIA NEWS September 2013

Audubon California and its partners celebrated a big win earlier this week when our bill aimed at protecting birds and people from toxic lead left behind in the environment passed out of the State Legislature and moved to the Gov. Jerry Brown’s desk. Assembly Bill 711 will require nonlead ammunition for all hunting. Iconic birds such as the endangered California Condor, Bald Eagle, and Golden Eagle are all threatened by this source of lead. We need your help to make sure that the Governor signs this important protection into law. Send him an email now.
