PAS Field Trip Report: Wilderness Gardens Preserve

On Saturday, April 12, twenty-one birders walked around Wilderness Gardens Preserve in Pala, and we found 52 different bird species. It was a beautiful Spring morning, cool at the start of the hike, but really warm when we finished.

This location is always a good spot for the Orioles, White-wing Doves, and the Canyon Wrens. And we found all of them. It’s always amazing to me that there are always a few birders who are unaware of this wonderful birding location.

Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for keeping track of the birds we found. And also, our wonderful photographers.
