IIdyllwild Adventure Tour Trip Report

17 birders, in 7 cars, traveled to 6 locations to see 56 bird species. Steve Ellis did a great job of keeping the group together and leading to the various destinations. These were: Aguanga (12 species), .the Kwikset Meadow in Idyllwild(12), the Idyllwild Nature Center (10 species), Hemet Lake(6 species), an unexpected roadside stop for the Pinyon Jay in Garner Valley where we also saw our third White headed woodpecker of the day happily munching on a pine cone (3species) a quick stop on the Ramona trail (2species), and finally Riverside Lake Estates.(20 species) The list of birds follows:
