Below is the eBird report of our walk around Lindo Lake yesterday. The highlights included seven species of flycatchers, with the star being a Willow Flycatcher; two species of parrots (one may have been an interesting hybrid); and a Golden Eagle, fleetingly seen by Trysten Loefke.

Golden Eagle: This was an unconfirmed sighting by a very expert young birder. Massive size compared to the crow that was mobbing it. (Nearby sight of crow mobbing a Turkey Vulture moments before provided another size comparison.) Rounded wingtips (no fingers). White patches mid-wing.

Lilac-crowned Parrot: Mixed in with the Lilac-crowned was a parrot first thought to be a White-fronted. (The bird had a distinct white patch above its bill). However, it was later described as a possible Lilac-crowned/White-fronted Parrot hybrid. Photos are available.
