We had perfect weather for our walk: temperature in the 60’s, clear sky and no wind. About 25 birders joined us for the walk. We first walked west to the bridge and then drove to the east end of the road where the majority of the ducks were with 6 Red-necked Phalaropes and a large group of Greater Yellowlegs. We then drove to Robb Field to try for the rare Dickcissel. By time I left, the bird had not been seen. We did see a Reddish Egret on the way back to the car. Between the two locations we saw 50 species.
