Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve Field Trip Report

On Saturday, September 7, twelve birders walked around Los Penasquitos
Canyon Preserve, looking for all of the birds that were not very active
because of the extreme heat. The temperature was 100+ most of the
morning. We did manage to find 33 different bird species. Lots of
Mourning Doves, House Finches, and Scaly-breasted Munias. I think the
best bird of the day was the Greater Roadrunner, who was trying his best
to hide from us.
