We had 34 people joining us on a rather warm morning to enjoy Batiquitos lagoon on Saturday.  As we walked the trail some people opted to return to their cars early. Despite the heat we ended up recording 55 species. Steve Ellis’ eBird report is here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S149478556 .

We enjoyed some good views of an Ash-Throated Flycatcher, a California Thrasher singing away and a Green Heron behaving like he/she should by hiding in the reeds making spotting it a challenge.  Thank you all for joining in.
