Friends,
About 37 birders join the walk on an overcast day. About half way through the walk, it started to rain. It was light and warm, so not a problem to walk in, but we did not see many birds after the rain started. Quite a contrast from last year when it well over 100 degrees. Saw a good number of California Trashers singing. We had an unexpected sighting of a Northern Flicker and two Black-headed Grossbeaks. We saw 29 species and 168 individuals. See the eBird report for details and many nice photos of birds seen.
