Hello friends,
Thank you for allowing me to lead at this special birding site. A fairly large group of us met, including some rarely encountered members whose presence was noted. We had a couple new faces as well.
We were too early in the season for the pond to be productive and our usual horned owl encounter did not occur. Doves and house finches were abundant.
I like this site because it hosts chipping sparrows and our rare bird was a Summer Tanager.
