Hi Birders,
On Saturday June 24, fourteen birders walked the Doane Pond Nature Trail at Palomar Mountain State Park.
The weather was pretty warm, there were lots of annoying flies, and the trail was challenging due to felled trees and stream water. We managed to find 32 bird species. I think the heat kept the birds hunkered down. Lots of nesting and feeding activity though.
