PAS Field Trip Report: Lindo Lakes

Twenty-eight birders enjoyed a lovely spring day at Lindo Lake.  The temperature was about perfect, neither too hot nor too cold.  We were equally blessed to have encountered all targeted rare bird species, including the American Redstart, Neotropic Cormorant, and the Cackling Goose.  Additionally, the group enjoyed close encounters with other warblers including multiple Townsend’s Warblers, Yellow-Rump Warblers in breeding plumage, Orange-crowned Warblers, and Wilson’s Warblers.  A few wintering ducks remained, such as Wigeon and Ring-necked ducks, contributing to a list containing over sixty species.

Many thanks to Steve for keeping track of our sightings and the entire group that watched intently to spot the birds we thoroughly enjoyed.

Best regards,  Gerry and Linda Baade
