PAS Field Trip Report: Santee Lakes

On Saturday, November 9, twenty birders walked around Santee Lakes on a beautiful Fall day. Perfect weather and a great group of birding friends made for a great day. We found 54 different bird species, including lots of American Coots, Red-wing Blackbirds, Mallards, and Ruddy Ducks. I think the best birds were the male and female Phainopeplas.

Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for keeping track of the birds we found and our wonderful photographers.
