The San Diego Saltworks is an area along San Diego Bay that is protected to allow birds to safely nest and forage.  This is not open to the public and very rarely allows birders to visit, but Peter Thomas has generously agreed to lead a walk for 15 lucky participants from Palomar Audubon on January 26th from 9 am-1 pm.  Please note, it is a 4-mile walk with no restrooms.  If you are interested in this adventure, please e-mail Beth Pearson (bpearson@palomar.edu) by January 10th.  A lottery will be held to determine the 15 who will be able to participate and also to create a waiting list in case someone must drop out. Details will be provided after the participant list is determined.
