Palomar Mountain Field Trip Results

Hi Folks,
Yesterday (6/29), thirteen birders hiked around Palomar Mountain State Park where it was hot but we managed to have a great time walking in the shade as much as possible. A cool breeze would sometimes pick up which helped to make for a real successful outing. We found 47 bird species. The Mountain Quail, Purple Martins, and Lawrence’s Goldfinches are always fan-favorites. Here’s our list:
