PAS Field Trip Report: San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary

Hi Birders,
On Saturday, February 22, nineteen birders met up at the San Joaquin
Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine, California. This location is always a
favorite for our PAS birders

90 different bird species were found during a pretty much all-day
field trip. There were lots of Least Sandpipers, Northern Shovelers, Ruddy
Ducks, and American Coots. I think 90 different bird species is the most
we have ever found on our Saturday PAS field trips.

Many thanks go out to Gerry Baade for keeping track of the birds that
were found. Also, thanks go out to our wonderful photographers.

Here is Gerry’s eBird checklist: https://ebird.org/checklist/S215209562

Thanks,
