Santee Lakes Field Trip Results

Hi Birders,

We had a very enjoyable field trip today at Santee Lakes. Overcast most of the morning with a cool breeze.
Fifteen birders found 45 bird species. I think there was a Great-tailed Grackle convention today — they were everywhere!  Lots of Mallards and Wood Ducks and pair of very up-close American Coots feeding newly-hatched chicks.
