Take Action: Tell Congress to Make Bird Conservation a Priority!

Blackburnian Warbler Paul Reeves

The U.S. Congress is working on a bill to fund the government for the rest of Fiscal Year 2016. They have an opportunity to restore much-needed funding for bird conservation programs.

They also have a responsibility to keep anti-environment amendments out of the funding bill. One of these “riders” would prohibit funding Endangered Species Act protections for the dwindling Lesser Prairie-Chicken.

Time is running out. Congress has until December 11 to pass the funding bill, when the current bill funding the government expires.

Please act today! Tell your representatives: Let’s make protecting birds and wildlife a priority.
