Today, about 40 enthusiastic birders enjoyed beautiful weather and lots of nice birds. We went west on the trail from Rios Ave., crossed under the highway and got nice looks at shorebirds and ducks before turning back west, onto the peninsula and on to the trail near I-5. Some hardy souls continued on the trail all the way to the nature center for a very long walk indeed! Altogether, a very pleasant and enjoyable morning!
