Hello Friends,
On Saturday, January 27 what looked like 50 of us met at the parking area by Sand Lake, in Escondido California.
The day was perfect, Clear and bright with an unusual breeze that kicked up dust devils of leaves on the trail in front of us. There were no track meets or marathons scheduled so we had plenty of trail to occupy. Birding was as expected. Canvasbacks presented themselves as our unusual species. We searched for a reported rare but it was to no avail.
