Hi Everyone,
On Saturday October 21, twenty nine birders walked around Daley Ranch on
a beautiful sunny day in Escondido. We found 41 different bird species.
Lots of Bushtits, California Quail, and Yellow-rumped Warblers. I think
the best bird we found was the unexpected Wilson’s Snipe on the
shoreline of the East Ridge Pond.
All of the new Daley Ranch Interpretive Trail Signs were in place and it
was really nice to see them in the ground on the trails. Palomar Audubon
Society members along with volunteers from the Friends of Daley Ranch
worked on this project last year.
Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for keeping our bird species list. See
his checklist here: https://ebird.org/checklist/
go out to our great photographers.
