Lake Elsinore Field Trip Results

Hi Friends,

This morning, Saturday Dec 12, twenty-four birders checked-out Lake Elsinore. Many thanks to Julie Szabo for showing us the way.
It was sunny, but a strong cold wind blowing of the water made for some uncomfortable moments.

We found 61 bird species. The best birds were the Bald Eagle, Snow Geese, and a Peregrine Falcon.
There were also hundreds of Northern Shovelers, some in small groups swimming in their characteristic circular motion, looking for something to eat.
