Hello Friends,
On Saturday, November 18th, 2023; twenty four of us met to participate in our scheduled field trip. This lake has undergone a great deal of excavation, construction and improvement and what awaited us was a very pleasant encounter with trails improved, trees planted, specially constructed bird blinds and overlooks.
Birding was good, we encountered most of what we expected, an abnormal population of black crowned night herons, greater white fronted goose, wood ducks, pigeons and gulls. We found the cackling goose mixed in with the Canada Geese.
