On Saturday November 19, eleven birders met up at the Tijuana Estuary Visitor’s Center in Imperial Beach. The weather was outstanding. I think everybody had a great time and at that location (Sports Park and the McCoy Trail), and we found 41 bird species. Later, we drove over to Seacoast Drive where we checked out the the marsh areas along the road. At that location we found 24 bird species. We then walked a short distance west to the ocean/beach and we saw 12 more bird species. The grand total was 56 different bird species.
