PAS is travelling to Morro Bay January 18 to 21 to see a vast array of birds that are generally not all present on any single PAS outing. But to heck with birding, this quaint little seaside village can entertain one for the full period without even needing the raise a pair of binoculars. Just raise a glass of wine (or two) instead. However, we are fortunate to have our PAS member and bird guide extraordinaire Gjon Hazard to lead us. In the past, Gjon has spent many years in this area so knows where to find that unusual bird you may not have on your list. It is possible you have already experienced Gjon on a field trip or weekend outing where he gets you on the (otherwise missed) bird quickly, calling them out in his strong booming voice.
