On Saturday, August 3rd, 34 birders gathered at Robb Field in Ocean Beach to explore the edges of the San Diego River and practice our skills identifying terns, herons, and shorebirds. We were treated with Black Bellied Plovers still in breeding plumage, a rare Neotropic Cormorant, Reddish Egrets, and Little Blue Herons. We saw a total of 45 species. As always, it was a friendly group of wonderful people. Please check out the eBird lists to see more stunning photos from our photographers in the group and a big THANK YOU to Steve for keeping our eBird lists.
