Dixon Lake Field Trip Results

Hi Everyone,

On Saturday morning January 6, twenty-seven birders walked around Dixon Lake in Escondido. The weather was perfect for birding and we found 61 different bird species. Lots of American Coots, California Quail, Yellow-rumped Warblers, and Scaly-breasted Munia. At the start of our walk, we were all excited to see a couple of flocks and really close California Quail. The best bird of the day was the Red-naped Sapsucker that was found at the end of the field trip.
