On Saturday, September 12th, 15 birders got up quite early to meet at 7:30 Am at Doanne Pond Nature Trail for a beautiful morning in the mountain air. We were treated to a bouquet of warblers, as well as woodpeckers, jays, vireos, and chickadees. 42 species in all.  Of note, we had three Nashville Warblers, a Hermit Warbler, and several Black-throated Gray Warblers. Purple Finches and a couple of Warbling Vireos.  We carried our enjoyment over into a nice lunch at the Silvercrest Picnic area and had a wonderful day altogether.
