SPRING BIRDING CLASSES

Exciting Selection of Sessions Spanning All Birding Experience Levels
Includes classroom instruction, reference materials & Field Trips!

When: First class series (beginning) starts March 12, 2025
Time: Evening sessions, each 6:45 PM to 8:15 PM
Location: Remington Club 2, 16916 Hierba Drive San Diego, CA 92128 (Rancho Bernardo)

Courses:

Beginning birding
Birding basics, field markings, and identification of local birds. (3 sessions, March 12, 19 & 26)
Intermediate
Bird behavior, sexual dimorphism, and seasonal plumages. (3 sessions, April 2, 9 & 16)
Advanced
Further techniques to identify birds including vocalizations and tracks (3 sessions, April 23, 30 & May 7)

All courses will include no less than one field trip to a birding destination located in San Diego County; dates and destinations will be announced.

The courses will be led by Phoenix Von Hendy, a long-time birding leader in San Diego County and a certified tracker naturalist. For questions about the course contact Palomar Audubon at palomaraudubon.org.

Pricing
Any one series of three (3) classes costs $60.00. Palomar Audubon Society members receive $5.00 off each class series and a $30.00 discount on the full birding curriculum.
Not a member? Your donation of $30 or more to Palomar Audubon Society at the time of enrollment automatically qualifies for PAS membership and a discount on each class, as much as $30 when you sign up for the full Spring Birding Class series.

The first class series begins on March 12, 2025. Class registration is open on a first-come, first-served basis until the class is full.
