On Saturday February 18, thirty-five really friendly birders walked around Oak Hill Memorial Park in Escondido. The weather was excellent and we found 43 bird species.
Lots of American Wigeons, European Starlings, and Cedar Waxwings.
I think the best bird we found was the Great Horned Owl. A pretty reliable bird to find at this location in the past, but has moved to roost in a different palm tree.
