On Saturday, January 25, twenty-eight eager birders walked around Kit
Carson Park in Escondido. The morning weather was quite cool (35) when
we started, but warmed up later.
We found 58 different bird species at this favorite PAS location. There
were lots of American Wigeons, Mallards, American Coots, Bushtits, and
Cedar Waxwings.
Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for keeping track of the birds we
found. And also, our thanks to our wonderful photographers. See Steve’s
eBird checklist here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S2
