On Saturday, July 18, twenty birders met up at Wm. Heise County Park near Julian. The weather was quite warm, but we still managed to find 28 different bird species. Here is Mac West’s List of the birds we found  ebird.org/checklist/S376420144

We found lots of Acorn Woodpeckers, California Scrub Jays, and Bushtits.

We then drove to the Santa Ysabel Mission for lunch. Here we saw several Hooded Orioles, Bullock’s Orioles, and even a Bald Eagle flyover.
