PAS Field Trip Report: Kit Carson Park

On Saturday, October 11, twenty-one birders walked around Kit Carson Park in Escondido.

It was a beautiful Fall morning. The weather was perfect, and it was a great day to see some of our local California resident birds.

We found lots of Bushtits and Cedar Waxwings. Everybody enjoyed watching the Red-tailed Hawk being chased by the American Crow. An uncommon bird that we found was the Redhead Duck.

Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for maintaining our eBird checklist and also to our wonderful photographers. Here is Steve’s checklist:  https://ebird.org/checklist/S278687540

Thanks,
