PAS Field Trip Report: Robb Field

Hi Good Friends,

On Saturday, August 23, thirty-six birders walked around Robb Field. The
weather was warm, but pleasant for some cool coastal birding. We found
44 different bird species. Lots of Elegant Terns, Western Gulls, and
Semipalmated Plovers.

Here’s the checklist for this location:

Later, 8 birders drove over to nearby Famosa Slough. Here, we found the
usual Black-necked Stilts. The surprising bird species we found here was
the Neotropic Cormorant. Here is the checklist for this location:

Many thanks go out to Steve Ellis for leading the field trips and for
maintaining the eBird checklists.

Thanks,
JIM BECKMAN
